Okay, which way is up? This week proved to give me many ideas of how I can use RSS to improve my professional development, Photo sharing for the home and office, and Google Sites to help organize all these wonderful things!
I set up my first RSS feed with Google Reader. I plan to check this each day, as I have imbedded it into IGoogle, which has already been the first thing I check each day. I am hoping that it will eliminate my needless checking of different sites and blogs.
As for the Flickr account, I am thinking that this will be able to help us back up our archives here at EOSC. What a great place to store and share all of the old photos and yearbooks here at Eastern!
I am looking forward to working with Google Sites. This looks like a great place to store, organize, and access information. And with its read/write capabilities, others will be able to add to and feel part of the EOSC library!
Week 3 was a good week!
Maria, I also really enjoyed week 3! I'm excited (and maybe a little overwhelmed) about all the applications we're learning about and choosing which I want to use in my classroom! I really like the RSS feeder. I also set one up with Google Reader and like the idea of checking one spot for all the information I'm gathering. Lastly, I like Flickr as well! I think your idea for using it for archives is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea for archiving photos on Flickr for your library. I also put my Google reader in IGoogle that is the only way I will remember to check it regularly. Google is amazing in how all the apps link together and can be used with IGoogle. That is one of the reasons I choose to work with Picasa for my photo site.
